Please tell us about yourself ?

I was born in a warrior family of Maratha Bhosale's. My primary education was in Pune and secondary education in Rahimatpur in Satara. During that period, since I was a NCC, B Certificate holder, I got selected as a Police Sub-Inspector in the year 1961. I had my training at Nashik Police Training School, now known as Police Academy.

Incidentally my posting from 1st Jan 1963 to 2nd May 1966 was at Ghatkopar Police Station, located at Chirag Nagar, LBS Marg, Ghatkopar (West). Thereafter, I was promoted as Inspector of Police and was posted at Bandra Police Station in March 1981. Later, in 1992, I was promoted as Assistant Commissioner of Police (Dy. SP) and transferred to State CID, Pune. After completing one and half years, I was posted back to Mumbai as ACP in Kurla. From here, I was transferred to Deonar, after which I retired from service on 31st April 1997.  

Please tell us about your family ?

I stay with my wife and son in Ghatkopar. My son and two daughters are all happily married. 

Tell us about your professional career ?

I went up the career graph smoothly and was able to achieve my goals satisfactorily. Being a Police Officer I was able to solve the most complicated cases, thereby helping the Society and performing my duty to the best of my abilities. And I still remember a few landmark cases which I was able to solve during my career.

What do you contribute your success in life to ?

Total dedication to the cause or the work undertaken, till success was achieved.

Your favorite sports/hobby ?

Reading Historical Literature, Religious Books and selected Marathi Literature.

What is your vision in life ?

A disciplined society and people full of joy and happiness. 

And what has been your inspiration in life ?

Religious and disciplined upbringing in my childhood by my maternal aunt (maushi)  has influenced me to see that our society also follows the same.

Any message you would like to convey?

Everyone should keep in mind that he is indebted to the society. Also he should have an open mind with a broad vision towards life and each one should contribute his share to the society. The world will be a better place to live in.
