Please tell us about yourself ?

I was born in a small village in Satara Dist. of Maharastra. Studied in a village school and completed SSC from Ravat Shikshan Santhas, the great pioneer of education movement in Maharastra, Bhaurao Patil was the founder. His spirit and vision towards common and poorest strata of society taught us to earn and learn. The impact of his ideology was so great that led us to struggle, come what may. All my college education till LLB was completed while I was doing my clerical job in the State and Central government offices in Mumbai. I am fortunate to travel around the world due to my job with Air India. In short, the story of my life started from my village Mhasave on to Manhatten, New York, USA.

Please tell us about your family ?

A school teacher wife smita, son Ajay and daughters Dr. Sarojini and Dr. Geetanjalee. Son is settled in USA with his wife. And we have a grandson Eshan. My daughter did her SSC from Vidya Bhavan and was topper in the Board exam.

Tell us about your professional career ?

I had successfully passed UPSC and MPSC exams. And I happen to hold a gazette post with State government. However, power and position did not affect my thinking of simple life. I believe in simple living. I achieved whatever I wanted through sheer hard work and real struggle.

What do you contribute your success in life to ?

Honesty and integrity, simplicity and humbleness.

Your favorite sports/hobby ?

We call it Vity dandu, In hindi, it is called Gilli danda. Also Kabbadi and Basketball. My hobby is reading and travelling.

What is your vision in life ?

To lead a peaceful life.

And what has been your inspiration in life ?

Motivation and strong family support and mother's spiritual teachings.

Any message you would like to convey?

Life is a greatest gift of god to me. I wish I gift to deserving, whatever I can.
